The role involves supporting enterprise applications built on IBM WebSphere Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA). You will work on critical systems leveraging technologies such as WebSphere Application Server, Business Automation Workflow, IBM HTTP Server, Apache, Message Queue, and more. The position also contributes to modernization efforts involving Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Google Cloud Pak.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect, design, install, configure, and support IBM WebSphere-based SOA solutions
- Manage IBM HTTP Server, Apache, and middleware infrastructure
- Work with IBM AIX (5.x–7.x) and Power Systems (Power8/9/10)
- Perform performance tuning, capacity planning, and monitoring
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues across environments
- Support Oracle WebLogic (PeopleSoft)
- Implement high availability and virtualization solutions
- Document enterprise SOA standards and best practices
Required Experience:
- 7+ years with IBM WebSphere (WAS, BPM, BAW)
- Strong experience with IBM HTTP Server and Apache
- Hands-on expertise with IBM AIX and Power Systems
- Experience with performance tuning and monitoring tools
- Knowledge of high availability and virtualized environments
- Experience supporting Oracle WebLogic (PeopleSoft)
