Perfect Game, the world’s leader in amateur baseball and softball, is seeking a senior software engineering leader to help shape the future of sports technology. In this role, you will lead a team of engineers in maintaining and advancing the digital systems that power Perfect Game’s tournaments, ecommerce, data analytics, and customer experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of software engineers while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning
- Partner closely with IT leadership to ensure platforms directly enable revenue growth and operational efficiency
- Oversee end-to-end development of web solutions supporting Perfect Game’s tournaments, financial data, and user engagement platforms
- Work closely with stakeholders in finance, operations, and marketing to translate business needs into scalable, reliable technical solutions
- Establish best practices for code quality, system design, and agile development processes
- Guide architectural decisions for scalable sports data systems, analytics dashboards, and user-facing digital products
- Balance innovation with operational excellence—ensuring timely delivery and system reliability during high-traffic event periods
- Stay informed about emerging web technologies and youth sports industry trends to inform platform evolution
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of professional software development experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership or management role
- Proficiency in modern programming languages and frameworks, including .NET, C#, and JavaScript
- Deep understanding of cloud-based application architecture, API design, and database management
- Proven success leading high-performing development teams delivering consumer-facing web platforms
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in sports technology, event management platforms, or youth engagement systems
- Experience evaluating, onboarding, and managing outsourced or vendor engineering teams to align with internal architecture and quality standards
- Familiarity with microservices, and distributed, event-driven architectures using AWS/Azure, and modern CI/CD pipelines
