Fresh Del Monte is a global leader in the production and marketing of fresh fruits and vegetables. They are seeking a Business Development Senior Manager to achieve financial targets and drive customer development for key accounts in Southern California.
Responsibilities:
- Direct & Deliver key financial metrics versus AOP sales with an aligned trade spend plan
- Develop customer specific objectives in support of the Company’s strategic plan
- Achieve new item, assortment, pricing, and merchandising objectives set forth for specific customer objectives
- Achieve annual and key event merchandising objectives
- Deliver new item objectives
- Manage everyday pricing within Go To Market Strategy (GTMS)
- Grow GDPs/maintain share of GDPs => than SOM (key segments)
- Execute assortment & shelving initiatives/customer category reviews to improve shelf presence
- Drive market share in select categories and sub-categories in line with corporate objectives
- Shopper Marketing program coordination where applicable
- Effectively engage and leverage cross-functional resources (Customer Development, Shopper Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, etc.) to exceed/achieve business objectives with assigned customers
- Own development of business, utilizing cross-functional resources such as Category Management & Insights, Shopper Marketing, Customer Finance and Business Intelligence Analytics, to drive volume and share growth
- Leverage Customer Development to translate, integrate, and activate Consumer strategies into key customer-level business plans
- Coordinate and attend sales/review/innovation presentations at assigned customers
- Collaborate with Category Management and Customer Development to deliver best-in-class presentation materials and insights for business meetings
- Create meeting cadence with Category Managers, Coordinators, Directors and other key cross-functional partners
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5-7 years of region or headquarters retail sales experience within CPG Industry
- Strong understanding of Fiscal Year Sales Planning/Execution
- Experience with AOP & JBP Planning
- Experience with Trade Spend/Trade Fund Management
- Analytical experience utilizing insights into business development recommendations
- Strong experience with Microsoft Office (Excel & PowerPoint)
- Experience with Customers (Albertsons So Cal; Albertsons Southwest; Smart & Final; Bashas'; Stater Brothers; UNFI)
