Confidential Jobs is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive strategic growth by identifying, qualifying, and capturing federal contracting opportunities that expand the company’s portfolio across U.S. government agencies. The role involves leading business development efforts, building relationships with stakeholders, and supporting proposal development.
Responsibilities:
- Lead business development and capture efforts across the full federal procurement lifecycle—from opportunity identification through contract award
- Build and maintain a qualified opportunity pipeline aligned with company capabilities
- Develop and execute win strategies for federal opportunities
- Establish and maintain relationships with government stakeholders and industry partners
- Support proposal development including solutioning, pricing strategies, and competitive positioning
- Monitor market trends, competitors, and regulatory changes to inform growth strategies
- Track and report pipeline activities within CRM systems
- Collaborate with internal teams to align capture strategies with company objectives
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Government, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of federal business development / capture experience
- Proven success winning federal contracts (prime/subcontract)
- Strong knowledge of FAR/DFARS
- Experience with GWACs, IDIQs, BPAs, and GSA Schedules
- Established federal network
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- End-to-end federal capture and proposal support experience
- Pipeline development and CRM tracking
- Market research and competitive analysis
- Strategic planning for federal growth
- Government / Federal contracting required
- Experience in IT, cybersecurity, intelligence, logistics, or engineering domains
- Active Secret or Top Secret clearance
- Experience with GovWin, SAM.gov, FPDS, USA spending
- Capture management / proposal development experience
- Master's degree or APMP certification
