Heraeus is a global leader in high-performance materials and technologies, seeking a Strategic Account & Business Development Manager to drive growth in their precious metals portfolio. This role focuses on account ownership, market expansion, and delivering tailored solutions to clients in the defense, medical, semiconductor, and automotive sectors.
Responsibilities:
- Grow Strategic Accounts: Cultivate new business opportunities while deepening relationships with existing clients
- Drive Revenue: Meet and exceed sales targets through strategic pricing, forecasting, and pipeline management
- Shape Market Strategy: Define and execute development plans for key segments across the Americas
- Deliver Solutions: Understand customer needs and translate them into high-value technical solutions
- Lead Projects: Oversee product implementations and ensure seamless integration into customer systems
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with Engineering, Product Management, Finance, and Customer Service to optimize outcomes
- Represent Heraeus: Attend trade shows, conferences, and training events to generate leads and stay ahead of market trends
- Analyze & Report: Provide insights through competitive analysis, market research, and strategic reporting
- Ensure Compliance: Uphold corporate standards including procurement, anti-bribery, and anti-money laundering policies
Requirements:
- 5+ years of technical sales experience; engineering background preferred
- Experience in the precious metals industry required; knowledge of medical and defense markets is a plus
- Strong ability to provide technical support and communicate complex concepts clearly
- Proficiency in CRM systems (MS Dynamics), spreadsheets, presentations, and data analysis tools
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and project management skills
