Parsons Corporation is a leading company in the defense, intelligence, and critical infrastructure markets. They are seeking a Principal IT Engineering Systems Support Specialist to support their IT systems engineering team, focusing on administering and maintaining collaboration platforms and ensuring consistency and interoperability in engineering environments.
Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain Bentley ProjectWise, Autodesk Forma, and CADD/BIM environments to support engineering, design, and construction collaboration
- Configure datasources, users, roles, permissions, workflows, workspaces, project templates, and system integrations across ProjectWise and Forma
- Enforce folder structures, naming conventions, metadata standards, and collaboration workflows to ensure consistency and interoperability
- Manage integrations between collaboration platforms and design tools such as Revit, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, MicroStation, and OpenRoads
- Support security, governance, compliance, identity management, and SSO integrations across ProjectWise, Forma, and related systems
- Provide Tier 3 technical support by troubleshooting performance, connectivity, file-locking, synchronization, and other complex platform issues
- Execute upgrades, patches, maintenance, new project/CDE setups, and maintain technical documentation, standards, and disaster recovery procedures
- Monitor system performance and usage, support reporting, deliver training materials, and identify opportunities to improve workflows and collaboration efficiency
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering Technology, or related field; equivalent experience will be considered
- Minimum of 10 years of professional IT/CADD experience supporting design/engineering/construction environments
- Substantial, hands-on administration experience with: Bentley ProjectWise (typically 7+ years), Autodesk Forma, including BIM Collaborate Pro/Docs (typically 3–4+ years)
- CADD management for Autodesk and/or Bentley design tools (standards, templates, deployments, and user support)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on root-cause analysis
- Clear written and verbal communication; able to support both technical and non-technical audiences
- Proven ability to collaborate with IT, BIM/VDC, engineering, and production/drafting teams
