PYREG GmbH is a German engineering leader providing patented systems that drive the circular and sustainability economy. They are seeking a strategic leader to accelerate their expansion in North America as the Director/Senior Manager – Sales and Capital Project Development, responsible for commercial expansion and project development support in the region.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the North America sales strategy in alignment with the Global Head of Sales
- Set and manage regional revenue targets and the dedicated sales budget
- Lead outbound prospecting and originate high-value leads, developing them into viable industrial-scale projects
- Develop and expand key accounts, ensuring long-term client success and project scalability
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with engineering consultants, EPC firms, equipment dealers, and regional partners
- Navigate project financing structures and support clients in securing funding for large-scale capital investments
- Lead the negotiation and closing of complex, high-value machine sales and service contracts
- Proficiently manage multi-stakeholder contract relationships, ensuring all legal and commercial risks are mitigated
- Coordinate closely with the engineering team regarding technical proposals, site assessments, and feasibility studies
- Identify client needs and sell comprehensive project development support, moving projects from concept to commissioning
- Offer specialized services including feedstock testing, analytical reports, due diligence, and Biochar Carbon Removal (BCR) credit strategies
- Maintain the CRM system with meticulous accuracy
- Create and present regular sales reports and forecasts to the executive team
- Monitor competitors and stay on top of regulatory changes, including EPA and state-level regulations
- Represent PYREG as a thought leader at major conferences and industry events
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in senior or executive sales and project development roles within the industrial machinery, renewable energy, or environmental technology sectors, preferably within the waste management sector
- Proven track record in capital project development, preferably within waste management, waste-to-energy, renewable energy, or carbon markets
- Demonstrated success in building market presence for international companies within the North American landscape
- Skilled at navigating complex, long-cycle industrial sales involving multiple stakeholders
- Strong understanding of project financing, including the ability to consult on the financial metrics (CAPEX, OPEX, IRR, NPV), and risk management of large-scale operations
- Ability to consult on complex industrial operations, including thermal processes and waste-to-energy systems
- A commitment to engineering a sustainable tomorrow and achieving global decarbonization targets
- Understanding of the biochar industry, including technical, environmental, and agricultural applications
- Understanding of the voluntary carbon market and the financial drivers of Biochar Carbon Removal (BCR) credits
