The Public Employees Retirement System is recruiting for two Project Manager (PM2) positions in the Modernization Division. These roles will lead the planning and administration of medium-to-large agency-wide enterprise projects, focusing on project management methodologies and supporting business capabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning and administration of medium-to-large agency-wide enterprise projects
- Direct, coordinate, and control the associated activities for both technical and end user staffing assigned to the project
- Control project scope, cost, and delivery schedules
- Develop detailed project plans and effort-based schedules
- Manage the execution of these work plans
Requirements:
- Five years of progressively responsible experience related to the class concept
- Four years of progressively responsible experience related to the class concept AND an Oregon Project Management Associate Certification
- Two years of progressively responsible experience related to the class concept AND a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Public Administration, or a closely related field
- A Project Management Professional Certification awarded by the Project Management Institute
- Advanced knowledge of formal project management methodology
- Self-motivated with ability to work in teams
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong communication and facilitation skills
- Experience with user acceptance testing
- Background, knowledge, and experience with effort-based scheduling
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
