Beacon is an early-stage, venture-backed company focused on clinical data and applied AI. They are seeking a Senior Marketing Manager, Content who will be responsible for building the marketing function from the ground up, including brand, demand generation, and marketing infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Build and scale the marketing function
- Define marketing strategy, priorities, and success metrics from scratch
- Establish the foundational processes, tooling, and playbooks needed to support long-term growth
- Lead marketing operations and analytics
- Implement and manage marketing tools (e.g., CRM, automation, attribution systems)
- Define KPIs, build dashboards, and use data to optimize performance and inform decision-making
- Drive awareness and demand
- Develop and execute campaigns targeting life sciences organizations and AI developers
- Partner with Business Development to support pipeline generation through high-impact marketing initiatives
- Own content and thought leadership; refine and evolve brand messaging, positioning, and visual identity as the company grows
- Translate complex technical capabilities into clear, compelling narratives for target audiences
- Create and manage a content engine spanning white-papers, blog posts, case studies, webinars, conference materials, and social media
- Position the company as a leading authority on responsible clinical AI data
- Manage external partners & support events and industry presence
- Source and oversee agencies, freelancers, and vendors across content, design, PR, and other specialties
- Identify and prioritize relevant industry events
- Manage sponsorships, speaking opportunities, and on-the-ground presence
Requirements:
- 5+ years of marketing experience across content, demand generation, and marketing operations
- Experience in healthcare; health tech or life sciences strongly preferred
- Proven ability to operate independently in early-stage or resource-constrained environments
- Experience managing agencies, freelancers, or contractors
- Strong analytical mindset, including familiarity with attribution, funnel metrics, and reporting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Familiarity with marketing and CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, Google Analytics, or similar)
- Experience as an early or first marketing hire
- Background in technical or data-driven products (e.g., AI, data platforms, developer tools)
- Experience building thought leadership in emerging or complex domains
- Startup experience in fast-moving, ambiguous environments
