Staff Backend Engineer (Python)

Tetrix is a fast-growing startup on a mission to empower institutional investors to confidently invest in alternative markets. The Staff Backend Engineer will build and lead backend infrastructure, ship new features, and mentor engineers while ensuring the technology is secure, robust, and scalable.

Responsibilities:

• You’ll build and lead – data models, core backend infrastructure and services, as well as ship out new features, in Python - owning scalable APIs, robust data ingestion pipelines that pull documents from dozens of private market portals, event-driven processing systems, and integrations that feed our proprietary AI extraction engine. You’ll set technical direction and make high-impact architectural decisions
• You’ll brainstorm – We’re not looking for someone to just take tickets—we want you in the room helping us shape product direction and tech strategy
• You’ll work with clients – From pitching customers, to designing features, to soliciting feedback, you’ll do some non-engineering work. We believe in all-rounded team members
• You’ll champion best practices and guide others – As a B2B SaaS platform, our technology needs to be secure, robust and scalable. You’ll help define and maintain standards, mentor engineers and help build a high-performing backend team as we grow
