Senior Electrical Engineer - Substation

Metric Geo is a leading global engineering and infrastructure consultancy seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with expertise in substation design. This role involves leading complex projects in transmission and distribution, mentoring engineers, and driving technical excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Act as a technical specialist or lead engineer on substation projects (distribution, sub-transmission, and transmission)
• Develop deliverables including protection & control (P&C) and physical substation design
• Lead QA/QC efforts, mentor junior engineers, and guide project execution
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and multi-disciplinary teams
• Apply advanced engineering techniques, oversee project budgets, schedules, and quality standards

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field)
• 8+ years of substation design experience (P&C and/or physical)
• Proven track record in QA/QC, project leadership, and client coordination
• Strong knowledge of NEC, IEEE/ANSI standards, and advanced engineering practices
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred (or in pursuit)
