About this role

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join their network engineering team. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining a global network to ensure secure, reliable, and optimized connectivity across a distributed environment.

Responsibilities:

Designing, implementing, and maintaining a varied network spanning the globe
Ensuring secure, reliable, and optimized network connectivity across our distributed environment

Requirements:

Experience with WAN optimization, application performance monitoring, and network security
Knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, BGP, EBGP, EVPN, OSPF, MPLS, VPNs, QoS, and firewall policies
Knowledge of cloud networking, hybrid cloud architectures, and integration with public cloud providers
Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues and provide root cause analysis
Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
HS diploma or GED
Experience with SD-WAN platforms in enterprise or large-scale environments
Experience with automation tools and scripting for network configuration such as Python and Ansible
Experience with network monitoring tools such as Zabbix, Prometheus or Grafana, and ELK
Knowledge of EVPN, EBGP, and other Control or Data plane protocols
Knowledge of ITIL and change management processes
