BayOne Solutions is seeking a Competitive Strategy & Market Insights Manager. The role involves leading market sizing analyses, evaluating competitor performance, and providing data-driven recommendations for strategic planning.
Responsibilities:
- Lead international market sizing analyses across priority regions using multiple data sources, including internal data, third-party research, web data, and industry benchmarks
- Build robust bottom-up and top-down models in Excel to estimate Total Addressable Market (TAM), category penetration, growth opportunities, and market trends
- Analyze financial statements, annual reports, and industry publications to identify key trends and develop business models
- Evaluate competitor performance and positioning across regions, including traffic trends, GMV proxies, pricing strategies, supply dynamics, and assortment
- Design and maintain standardized Excel frameworks to track market size, growth rates, and competitor performance metrics over time
- Create clean, scalable datasets by aggregating, validating, and normalizing data from multiple internal and external sources
- Conduct quantitative benchmarking across competitors, markets, and categories to assess relative market position and identify opportunities
- Perform in-depth desktop research and synthesize findings into quantitative models and qualitative insights that inform business strategy and performance
- Manage external vendor relationships to ensure high-quality data delivery, while proactively identifying gaps and driving continuous improvements
- Partner with leadership and cross-functional teams to provide data-driven recommendations for strategic planning and decision-making
- Manage multiple concurrent projects with clear plans, stakeholder alignment, and timely delivery of key milestones and deliverables
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) with 5+ years of experience in strategy, analytics, consulting, or e-commerce insights
- Strong business acumen with a solid understanding of e-commerce or marketplace models, including buyer/seller dynamics, pricing, assortment, and conversion drivers
- Advanced Excel skills with strong modeling and analytical capabilities
- Excellent structured problem-solving and quantitative reasoning skills
- Proven ability to convert complex data into clear insights and compelling executive-level presentations
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence mid-level and senior leaders
- Experience working cross-functionally in fast-paced, dynamic, and ambiguous environments
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously

- Experience in e-commerce or marketplace platforms
