Rand Technology is seeking a Business Development Manager to identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities that align with the company's corporate strategy. The role involves expanding the customer base, forging partnerships, and driving revenue growth through strategic selling and market research.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging trends, identify target markets, and assess competitive landscapes
- Develop and execute strategic action plans to target and win the right opportunities
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with potential customers, understanding their needs and presenting tailored solutions
- Ensure superb handoff of accounts to account managers through planning, sharing, and executing together
- Seek out and cultivate strategic partnerships with complementary businesses to enhance market reach and product offerings
- Work with Account Executive (AE) to decide if BDM support is needed for existing accounts
- Traveling one week on, one week off, to meet clients, build relationships, and spot growth opportunities
- Submit a meeting report after each client visit to the global sales team
- Work and collaborate with SPs and BDMs from other regions if required
Requirements:
- 3+ years of proven track record in international business development and/or sales, within the technology industry
- Strong understanding of technology products and services
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners
- Strong negotiation skills
- Analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities
- Proven ability to manage and motivate oneself
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field
- Ability to travel for customer meetings as needed
- 3-5+ years' international business development and/or sales, within electronic components, computer hardware, ITAD, or electronic distribution industries
