Senior Building Controls Operations Engineer

McKinstry is innovating the waste and climate harm out of the built environment and creating lasting impact. The Senior Building Controls Operations Engineer supports Remote Operations of building Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP) controls systems, assisting clients with control systems alarms, comfort calls, scheduling, and trend analysis while mentoring team members and driving program management.

Responsibilities:

• Supports Supervisor in Program management (team workload, recruiting, hiring, developing, planning)
• Client Deliverable Review/Generation
• Building Connect/Data feed Acquisition, Analysis, and Reporting
• Drive best in class deliverables and standard Remote Operations for team
• Mentors & Elevates tier 1 & tier 2 staff technical skills
• Participate in occasional on-call support

Requirements:

• Technical Degree / Bachelor's or Data / Engineering Degree (desired)
• Relevant Work Experience Required
• Advanced understanding of building systems and Building Automation Systems (BAS) and programming
• Proficient in building data acquisition and analysis and reporting
• Communication/Teaming/Internal and External Interaction
• Project Management/Leadership Skills/Business Acumen
• Ability to triage and diagnose root cause
• Change and manage portfolio wide schedules and overrides
• Strong knowledge of multiple controls systems (Alerton, Distech, Honeywell, Siemens, Tolon, Tridium, etc.)
• Ability to mentor and develop team members
• Ability to manage highly technical issues and document findings
• 5-7+ years of experience in building controls preferred
• Experience with visualization tools like Excel, Tableau and PowerBI
