Sensata Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager for the Defense business segment. This role is responsible for executing defense-related programs from order intake through delivery, managing scope, schedules, budgets, and risk for complex power electronics projects while coordinating cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
- Meet with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project
- Develops comprehensive project plans and manages all implementation processes including resource allocation, progress tracking, monitoring change control process, testing, documentation, training, and status reports
- Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short- and long-term goals
- Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis
- Regularly communicates and presents project schedules, statuses, and updates to various team members and bringing solutions/opportunities
- Track and update changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs
- Report and escalate to management as needed
- Assists in performing risk management to minimize project risks
Requirements:
- A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience
- Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands

- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
- Willingness to be onsite or hybrid in Burlington, VT required
- 2+ years experience leading projects for an OEM required
- SW, MS Project, or other project management platform experience required
- Demonstrated technical background in power conversion systems required
- Demonstrated ability to create new and/or refine processes focused on efficiency and growth of business required
- This position requires eligibility to obtain authorization under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Non-US Persons, as defined in the ITAR and EAR, may not be eligible to obtain authorization
- A university degree in technical field (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience preferred
- PMP certificate or 5+ years experience as a project manager preferred
