I. Job Summary
The Senior Coordinator, Talent Acquisition owns all aspects of the candidate experience post the verbal offer acceptance of a new hire through 90 days post the new hires start date with WM. This role supports the Talent Advisors, the hiring team, and the candidates through the pre-employment process. The position performs administrative duties including receiving, processing and tracking pre-employment screens, updating and maintaining appropriate databases and communicating results. Serves as the candidate's point-of-contact for all new hire inquiries.
II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensures a positive customer experience by facilitating a welcoming and seamless onboarding experience for candidates and new hires through their first 90 days of employment.
- Manages the full life cycle of the new hire process: interview scheduling, pre-employment, onboarding, staffing phases, and other key stages.
- Serve as a first point-of-contact for candidate questions on background check and drug screen policies and/or processes.
- Acts as brand ambassadors by embodying the company’s People First Commitments and Values of Success and Integrity, Diversity and Inclusion, Valuing Safety, our Environment, and our Customers throughout every interaction.
- Monitors candidates and new hires to ensure efficient progress through all appropriate avenues: from scheduling interviews with the hiring teams during the hiring process to engaging with new hires through the 90th day of employment.
- Builds partnerships by supporting internal and external customers, fostering engagement by effectively responding to inquiries and issues.
- Serves as primary point of contact for candidates and new hires with their People Services Team.
- Provides timely, thoughtful, and engaging messages through written and verbal communication to customers during the hiring process.
- Keeps Candidate Tracker updated by providing current and accurate data indicating the candidate’s/new hire’s status.
- Can recognize and properly handle highly sensitive and confidential candidate and employee data, maintaining its integrity.
- Works proactively to identify and apply solutions, adaptive ideas, and guidance to all customers.
- Maintain working knowledge of processes to answer candidate questions
- Ensure that candidate and Talent Advisor questions are fully addressed and escalating complex/difficult questions as necessary.
- Follow through to ensure that each pre-employment check is fully executed and stays proactively engaged through every step of the pre-employment process.
- Provide high-quality, timely, and professional customer service.
