Minor Hotels Europe & Americas is looking for a proactive and energetic Sales Manager with a Corporate and Entertainment Account Management Sales background. The role involves maximizing revenues from an assigned account portfolio, developing new business opportunities, and coordinating sales efforts while representing the hotel chain.
Responsibilities:
- Identify key internal and external sources of information to detect and understand market trends
- Daily management of account portfolio. Specific emphasis on Key Partner Accounts
- Develop and Lead Strategic Account & Action Plans in coordination with corresponding sales team (i.e. Distribution & MICE)
- Summarize and integrate all sources of information to produce a comprehensive view of the Corporate Transient and Entertainment segment trends the NORAM market
- Regular communication with Managers & Directors in all Business Units (countries) and other team leaders to deploy a collective strategy and clear guidelines
- Monitor monthly results; implement timely adjustments to maximize revenues and profits
- Update commercial CRM with all the activities planned and executed
- Responsible for meeting deadlines and submitting reports in a timely manner
- Build relationships with the key decision makers of the Regions strategic accounts
- Represent all hotels within the hotel group
- Ensure that company strategy is followed, executed, and monitored in a consistent way
- Communicate and pro-actively seek new business opportunities
- Maintain a high-quality client Database
- Attend industry related conferences and trade shows
Requirements:
- Degree level - preferably in Travel & Tourism, Hospitality Management
- Minimum 3 to 5 years' experience working at global level representing multiple hotels
- Experienced knowledge and Understanding of the COR market segment including RFP process, Tools, and Contract Negotiations
- Sales focused, Results oriented and Proactive approach
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with polished presentation skills
- Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of GDS, TMS and other distribution channels
- Experience working with international teams
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications: MS Office, Advanced Excel, Advanced PowerPoint, SAP
- Fluent spoken and written English
- Value given to post graduate qualifications
