DBI Staffing is seeking a Senior Business Analyst (Operations) to enhance operational workflows across the organization. This role involves collaborating with leadership and teams to document processes, identify inefficiencies, and improve accountability and flow.
Responsibilities:
- Work across functions to understand and document current-state workflows
- Capture end-to-end processes, including roles, responsibilities, handoffs, and decision points
- Translate loosely defined or inconsistent ways of working into clear, structured process documentation
- Develop standardized artifacts that can be reused across teams
- Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and breakdowns in how work flows through the organization
- Surface 'long poles in the tent' and areas where work stalls or ownership is unclear
- Define future-state processes with improved clarity, accountability, and flow
- Support development of metrics to track process performance (e.g., cycle time, throughput, handoff delays)
- Partner with senior leadership to align on current vs. desired ways of operating
- Present findings in a clear, concise manner that supports decision-making
- Facilitate working sessions to drive alignment across teams with differing perspectives
- Help establish consistent ways of working across teams and functions
- Contribute to building a more structured and scalable operating model
- Support efforts to improve documentation, repeatability, and operational discipline
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows through automation or technology
- Support initiatives to move from manual, inconsistent processes to more scalable, system-supported operations
Requirements:
- 10–15+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Operations Analyst, or similar role
- Strong background in process mapping, workflow design, and operational analysis
- Experience working within professional services, consulting, or complex service-based organizations
- Demonstrated ability to work with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
- Ability to take ambiguous, loosely defined processes and turn them into structured, well-documented workflows
- Strong understanding of how workflows across teams, including dependencies and handoffs
- Experience identifying and prioritizing operational improvement opportunities
- High attention to detail with a focus on clarity and usability of documentation
- Strong facilitation and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with process mapping tools (e.g., Lucidchart, Visio, Miro)
- Familiarity with documentation and workflow tools (e.g., Confluence, Jira)
- Experience using structured approaches to process analysis (e.g., swimlanes, value stream mapping)
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows through automation or technology
- Support initiatives to move from manual, inconsistent processes to more scalable, system-supported operations
- Experience in operational transformation or process improvement initiatives
- Exposure to automation or AI-enabled workflow improvements
- Background in environments with rapid growth, complexity, or inconsistent processes
