Vistas Cloud is a Microsoft Solutions Partner specializing in innovative cloud solutions. They are seeking a Python and LLM-focused Automation Engineer to lead the migration of UiPath orchestration and bots to a Claude Code-driven automation stack.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze existing UiPath orchestrations, workflows, and dependencies, then refactor or redesign them into Python- and Claude Code–based automations
- Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts and services in Python, using Claude Code as a primary AI coding assistant to generate, refactor, and test code
- Leverage Claude Code and other LLM platforms (e.g., ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Azure/OpenAI) to accelerate development, implement automation patterns, and improve code quality
- Build and consume REST APIs to integrate automations with internal and external systems; use tools such as Postman for development, debugging, and validation
- Support, monitor, and stabilize existing UiPath bots during the migration period, including troubleshooting, incident resolution, and performance optimization
- Implement best practices for safe and reliable LLM-assisted automation, including prompt design, guardrails, testing, and observability for AI-generated code paths
- Collaborate with operations, business SMEs, and other engineering teams to understand current processes, validate migrated solutions, and ensure minimal disruption during cutover
Requirements:
- Strong proficiency in Python for backend development, automation, or scripting (including familiarity with core data structures, control flow, and modular code organization)
- Hands-on experience with UiPath, including development and/or support of production bots and orchestrations
- Practical experience using Claude Code and at least one additional LLM tooling platform (e.g., ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Azure/OpenAI) in real development workflows
- Strong API development and integration skills: REST, JSON, authentication patterns, error handling, and use of tools like Postman for API testing
- Prior experience supporting and maintaining bots or automation scripts in production environments (monitoring, logging, incident management, and change control)
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume operational environment with evolving priorities and time-sensitive deliverables
- Must currently reside in the United States and be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
- Experience designing or executing migration projects (such as re-platforming RPA solutions, refactoring legacy bots, or cloud migrations of automation workloads)
- Familiarity with other RPA or workflow tools (e.g., Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, Power Automate) is a plus
- PowerShell and SQL experience for operational scripting, data access, monitoring, and troubleshooting
