Progressive Insurance is dedicated to helping employees move forward and live fully in their careers. As a business development consultant for National Accounts and Distribution, you’ll manage the distribution of Progressive products through the independent agency channel and oversee several large Key Accounts, building strong relationships in the industry to market Progressive’s products and services.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the distribution of Progressive products through the independent agency channel
- Oversee several large Key Accounts that may require engagement and coordination on a nationwide basis
- Screen, evaluate, and recommend new account prospects that are expected to provide a significant financial and/or strategic benefit to Progressive within 3-5 years
- Build strong relationships in the industry
- Meet with potential accounts to market Progressive’s products and services
Requirements:
- A minimum of eight years outside business to business sales experience or territory management experience
- OR Bachelor's degree or higher and a minimum of five years outside business to business sales experience or territory management experience
- This position requires compliance with Progressive's driving standards and/or policy
- This position requires a valid driver's license and auto insurance
- Extensive knowledge of all property and casualty insurance products and services
- Proficient in consultative sales process and strategic selling skills
- Ability to work with internal and external stakeholders to accomplish goals
- Strong skills in building business relationships
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to multi-task, set priorities, and follow up on open items
