The Senior Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and driving comprehensive marketing plans that align with clients' business goals, leading cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring disciplined execution across projects.
Responsibilities:
- Build, develop, and lead a high-performing marketing team, providing coaching, clear direction, and accountability frameworks that drive consistent execution
- Develop and own strategic marketing plans that translate business goals into integrated, actionable initiatives across all client programs and services
- Drive cross-functional initiatives by aligning teams around shared marketing objectives, ensuring strong coordination across disciplines from strategy through delivery
- Champion organizational excellence by establishing clear workflows, prioritization processes, and performance standards that keep programs on track and on budget
- Develop and manage budgets, resources, and timelines to ensure disciplined, on-strategy execution of marketing plans
- Review, edit, and implement strategic plans, creative briefs, client presentations, and other crucial written communication materials
- Deliver insights on emerging trends and digital/social strategies for engaging multicultural and general market audiences
- Review all creative concepts to ensure marketing and creative work is on-strategy and on-brand before client delivery
- Establish success metrics and KPIs; identify ways to measure success against the campaign goals and achievable outcomes; and facilitate reporting
- Evaluate and analyze data, including developing succinct, accurate summaries and analyses of research that include strategic recommendations for clients
- Develop strong relationships with Client(s) establishing regular communication to ensure expectations are met
- Keep Agency management informed of the status of Client relations, including personnel changes and issues pertaining to agency performance
- Ensure compliance with the Scope of Work
- Develop client monthly reporting
- Lead end-to-end program management for complex, multi-workstream marketing initiatives, ensuring milestones, deliverables, and stakeholder expectations are consistently met
- Establish and maintain rigorous project governance structures, including timelines, dashboards, and reporting cadences that provide visibility and accountability across all active programs
- Proactively identify project risks, dependencies, and blockers, and develop contingency plans to keep initiatives on track
- Partner with cross-functional teams including creative, analytics, digital, and client services to drive integrated marketing execution and continuous program improvement
- Serve as a key stakeholder communication hub, keeping leadership, clients, and internal teams aligned on progress, priorities, and decisions
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in advertising, communications, journalism, public relations, or related field
- 7 years of experience managing advertising or marketing communications
- 3 years leading teams
- Verifiable agency experience, plus expertise in integrated communications, paid advertising, brand development
- Strong time and budget management skills
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive alignment across diverse stakeholders
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and present to senior leaders and clients
- Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities without losing sight of strategic objectives
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Experience marketing with platforms including but not limited to: Google, Meta, LinkedIn, X
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
- Experience with data-driven programs like Google Analytics
- Ability to meet requirements to obtain a Public Trust Clearance or an existing Public Trust or Security Clearance
- Demonstrated project and program management expertise; PMP certification strongly preferred
- Knowledge of federal Government contracting, agency operations and policies
