- Guidewire InsuranceNow development experience is highly desirable. While this experience is rare, it can be substituted with a very fast, adaptable learner who can quickly onboard to a proprietary, legacy-style application architecture.
- Proficiency in Java. Advanced or enterprise-level expertise is not required, but candidates must be comfortable writing, modifying, and understanding Java business logic and application structure.
- Beginner to Intermediate SQL. Ability to write simple relational queries to analyze data and system behavior; advanced database work is not expected.
- Strong communication skills. This project involves multiple developers working in parallel, making clear communication and collaboration essential.
- Basic proficiency in HTML and JavaScript. Helpful but not critical, as much of the UI logic is driven by Java callouts rather than traditional front-end development.
- Beginner-level XML experience. XML is heavily used for configuration and data storage within the application, though advanced XML features are not required.
