Net2Source (N2S) is seeking a Maximo OpenShift Engineer with experience in MAS 9 installation. The role involves installing and configuring IBM Maximo Application Suite components on Red Hat OpenShift clusters and performing upgrades while ensuring infrastructure readiness and troubleshooting issues during the process.
Responsibilities:
- Install and configure IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS) 9.1.x components including MAS Core and Maximo Manage on Red Hat OpenShift clusters (on prem or cloud)
- Prepare and validate infrastructure readiness (OpenShift cluster sizing, storage classes – RWO/RWX, networking, ingress, certificates)
- Plan and execute Maximo 7.6.x → MAS 9.1.x upgrades
- Perform pre upgrade activities including:
- Integrity Checker execution (report & repair modes)
- SMP and DB compatibility validation
- Execute MAS and Manage upgrades using supported IBM upgrade paths
- Perform post upgrade activities including ConfigDB, validation testing, and defect remediation
- Support automated MAS installations using CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions / GitOps based workflows)
- Standardize installation and upgrade procedures to improve repeatability and reduce manual effort
- Troubleshoot MAS, OpenShift, database, and integration issues during and after upgrades
- Support System Testing, SIT, UAT, and Validation (IQ/OQ) activities
- Perform smoke testing, health checks, and performance validation post installation/upgrade
- Support cutover planning, go live execution, and hypercare support
- Prepare and maintain:
- Installation runbooks
- Upgrade approach documents
- Environment build checklists
Requirements:
- Strong experience in IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS) installation and upgrades
- Hands on experience with Red Hat OpenShift (OCP / ROSA / ARO)
- Database knowledge: Oracle
- Experience with MAS CLI, entitlement keys, license configuration
- Experience with Integrity Checker, ConfigDB
- Experience with SSL certificates, LDAP/AD, SMTP, and integrations
- Experience with Linux administration and container fundamentals (Docker/Podman)
