About this role
Swoon is seeking a detail-oriented and data-driven Business Analyst to support a leading utilities client. This role will focus on analyzing asset performance and failure data to drive actionable insights that support operational efficiency, risk reduction, and strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement
- Develop dashboards, reports, and analytical models to support business teams
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders including operations, compliance, and strategy
- Translate data insights into clear, actionable recommendations
- Support data extraction, transformation, and validation processes
- Contribute to ongoing improvements in data quality and analytics capabilities
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Analytics, Economics, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in business analysis, data analytics, or similar roles
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis)
- Experience working with dashboards and data visualization tools
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
- Experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau
- Exposure to SQL, Python, or other data querying tools
- Experience with enterprise analytics platforms (e.g., Palantir Foundry)
- Background in utilities, energy, or infrastructure industries
