As we continue to elevate our capabilities and global presence, we are seeking a Lead Project Manager - NML & Special Projects - 6 Month FTC to join our dynamic PMO team at our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Hethel.
Summary:
The position will develop and shape the Manufacturing centric New Model Launch function. The position will be expected to deliver and provide a pivotal role focused towards specific launch projects at Lotus Cars UK.
The position will develop the project cadence and framework for future launch deployment, promotion of stakeholder accountability, project governance to ensure application of the Lotus Production delivery system whilst driving a positive mindset change within a new team function.
A hands-on problem solver who can identify concerns relating the programme delivery. Create and implement mitigation plans. Leading from the front to drive down issues, ensuring a capable and successful launch during all build phases.
The individual will be able to demonstrate a successful history within previous project applications, ideally across multiple sector applications and with vertical reporting integration.
What you'll do:
· Leading Launch project ethos, deliverables, and structures.
· Deliver the project plan and establish scheduling, action plan and tracking.
· Lead day-to-day operational content and assignment of responsibilities to support delivery of the objectives.
· Project monitoring and reporting of progress against the plan inclusive of mitigation activities.
· Management of all project documentation to ensure auditable levels of transparency.
· Ensure the project milestones are followed and deliverable requirements are met.
·Gap to progress capture and direct recovery actions with the stakeholders
· Project risk reporting - Establish and conduct risk assessment plan, tracking and control / mitigation.
· Project performance reporting – Provision of Project status outputs to allow reporting to senior level, be comfortable challenging mindset and failure.
· Lead launch build phases ensuring robustness of KPIs with stakeholders.
· Hands on lead during builds on the shopfloor.
· Generate Financial metrics Project Investment/budget – Monitor and report out the aligned financial status of the project and generate the metrics for review at project meetings and senior reviews.
· A hands-on problem solver who can identify concerns relating the programme delivery (from scoping to execution).
· Lead preparation for build phases, create and implement mitigation plans, ensuring a capable and successful launch during all build phases.
· Identify and resolve/escalate issues preventing a go no go decision into business level milestones.
What you'll bring:
Experience of delivering projects within multiple sectors is an advantage.
Be comfortable and confident working with high ambiguity.
Shaping the environment to ensure the requirements and objectives are considered whilst adhering to Launch scope.
Experienced with delivering and operating within simultaneous project environments.
Project Management expertise and/or general operational and lead experience in an automotive, FMCG or manufacturing environments.
Proven leadership skills; outgoing, confident and articulate. Strong work ethic, self-motivating, ability to lead and to work as part of a team.
Team development and leadership experience.

This role will be working from our Hethel plant within our flexible working policy
Candidates must be eligible to work in UK without VISA sponsorship.
This role will be on-site at Hethel at least 3 days per week.
