Greenstone is a company delivering innovative solutions to North American agribusinesses, and they are seeking a Business Development Manager with expertise in the ethanol industry. This role involves supporting customers, driving sales efforts, and influencing product development within the renewable fuels sector.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in customer onboarding, training, and adoption efforts
- Travel to customer sites to support implementations, discovery workshops, and troubleshooting
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customer stakeholders to ensure long-term satisfaction
- Collaborate with the Customer Success and Professional Services teams to ensure alignment with ethanol customer goals and KPIs
- Act as the subject matter expert during sales cycles for renewable fuels producers
- Collaborate with Account Executives to tailor product demos and presentations to industry-specific use cases
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear business value propositions for prospective ethanol clients
- Provide input on RFPs, proposals, and other sales-related documentation
- Serve as the internal voice of the customer for the product and engineering teams
- Gather, document, and prioritize feature requests and business requirements specific to ethanol production workflows
- Work with Product Managers and Engineers to ensure delivery of high-impact solutions tailored to ethanol producers
- Monitor industry trends, regulations, and best practices to inform product strategy and maintain competitive differentiation
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in the renewable fuels industry, either directly within an ethanol producer organization or in a consultative, technology, or service role supporting ethanol producers
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally between sales, customer-facing teams, and product development
- Strong business analysis skills, including requirements gathering, workflow mapping, and stakeholder communication
- Comfortable presenting to executives and technical audiences alike
- Willingness to travel for on-site engagements (approx. 20–30%)
- Experience working in or with software companies serving industrial or manufacturing sectors
- Familiarity with digital transformation initiatives in process industries
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Agriculture, Engineering, or a related field
