Confidential Jobs is a rapidly scaling infrastructure and services company backed by a leading energy-focused private equity firm, seeking a Head of Sales & Business Development to lead and scale its commercial organization. The role involves taking ownership of the company's revenue engine and playing a critical role in building the next phase of growth, focusing on revenue generation and go-to-market strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and restructure a growing commercial organization of ~20 professionals, scaling the team as the business expands
- Drive aggressive pipeline development, deal execution, and revenue growth across strategic markets
- Build and develop a high-performance sales and business development organization, including hiring, coaching, and organizational design
- Establish disciplined sales processes, forecasting, and accountability across the revenue organization
- Partner closely with executive leadership to define and execute go-to-market strategy and growth initiatives
- Lead complex, multi-stakeholder commercial engagements involving large enterprise customers and infrastructure partners
- Help position the company’s commercial platform for significant long-term scaling and potential public market readiness
Requirements:
- 15+ years of commercial leadership experience in infrastructure, energy, data center, industrial technology, or related sectors
- Demonstrated success leading complex enterprise or infrastructure sales cycles
- Experience navigating multi-party deals involving utilities, infrastructure providers, and large enterprise customers
- Track record of building and scaling revenue organizations in high-growth environments
- Experience managing and growing national or multi-regional sales teams
- A hands-on builder mentality, comfortable restructuring teams and creating commercial infrastructure from the ground up
- Strong pipeline generation instincts and a bias toward action
- High energy, passion, and the ability to motivate teams to deliver ambitious growth targets
- Comfort operating in fast-moving, entrepreneurial environments where leaders are expected to both set strategy and execute
