Proofpoint is a global leader in human- and agent-centric cybersecurity, dedicated to protecting how people, data, and AI agents connect. They are seeking a Product Marketing Director for Alliances & Strategic Partnerships to own the strategy and execution of key technology partnerships, ensuring effective messaging and go-to-market impact.
Responsibilities:
- Own the messaging architecture for Proofpoint’s strategic alliances, ensuring each partnership ladders up to our core platform narrative and human-centric security story
- Translate partner integrations into clear, differentiated value propositions with defined customer use cases and competitive angles
- Work with Core Product Marketing to ensure alliance integrations are reflected accurately in product launches, campaigns, and core messaging
- Drive alliance launches end‑to‑end messaging, packaging, enablement materials, and field readiness
- Build and deliver alliance enablement assets—solution briefs, sales decks, battle cards, partner talk tracks, and competitive guides
- Execute joint co‑marketing programs with strategic partners; coordinate timelines and deliverables across Product, Engineering, Sales, and Partners
- Track alliance performance metrics including pipeline influence and integration adoption; report results to leadership
- Partner with Sales to support active deals, joint customer conversations, and field competitive positioning
- Represent Proofpoint in partner working sessions, QBRs, and industry events
Requirements:
- 8–12+ years in B2B technology, with at least 4–5 years in product marketing, solutions marketing, or GTM strategy—ideally in the cybersecurity industry
- Direct cybersecurity ecosystem experience prior roles at a security vendor or extensive work with security-focused partners (e.g., Microsoft, Palo Alto Networks, CrowdStrike, Okta, or ServiceNow)
- Demonstrated track record managing technology alliances or ecosystem partnerships, including joint GTM programs, co‑sell motions, and integration launches
- Strong PMM craft messaging frameworks, competitive positioning, narrative development, and the ability to translate complex integrations into clear, buyer-ready stories
- Experience building sales and enablement content—solution briefs, battle cards, decks, playbooks—that gets used in the field
- Proven ability to influence cross‑functional teams and executives without direct authority; skilled at navigating large, matrixed organizations
- Excellent communicator with comfort presenting to senior leaders and external partner executives
