- Master Mixpanel to track user behavior, create usage funnels, and generate data-driven insights for our new app
- Building interactive prototypes in Figma, refining wireframes, and helping establish our core UI component library
- Conducting competitive audits, synthesizing user feedback, and performing usability testing on new features
- Dedicated time for 1:1 mentorship, attending design reviews, and sharpening your technical toolkit
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required, assigned, or requested. Consensus reserves the right to add or change duties at any time

- Your degree path should be in a UX-related program—think majors like User Experience (UX/UI) Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Graphic Design, or Digital Product Design
- While you don't need 'real-world' job experience, you do need a portfolio of academic projects that shows you can think through a desktop interface
- You should be comfortable enough in Figma to build out your ideas and have a genuine curiosity about how analytics (like Mixpanel) can prove whether a design actually works
- You must be a US Citizen and able to work within CST or EST timezones
- Design Fundamentals (Academic). Desktop UI Layouts: A solid understanding of how to design for web browsers and large screens, focusing on navigation menus, data density, and clear user paths
- Figma Basics: Proficiency in the core Figma toolkit: Frames, Layers, Shapes, and Text Styles

- Analytical Potential - The 'Why' Factor: A natural curiosity for User Behavior
- Data Readiness: A strong desire to learn Mixpanel and product analytics
- Critical Thinking: Ability to look at a complex problem (like an account migration) and help brainstorm a simple, step-by-step solution
- Collaborative Aptitude - Active Listening: The ability to take direct feedback and 'Redlines' from a Senior Designer and apply those changes accurately
- Agile Pace: Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where priorities can shift quickly
- Communication: Ability to clearly explain your design choices and ask the right questions when a task is unclear
- Students pursuing a degree in User Experience Design, Human Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, or a related field like Computer Science or Psychology
- Students coming from Cognitive Psychology or Computer Science backgrounds who have a specific obsession with how people interact with software
- A portfolio that shows you can think through both web browsers and native mobile experiences
- A genuine interest in learning how user data and analytics drive design decisions
- An eagerness to learn real world workflows directly from a mentor
- A self starter who stays organized and asks the right questions to keep a project moving
