Manufacturing Optimization Engineer II- Automation and Factory Transformation

The Manufacturing Optimization Engineer II will lead factory transformation initiatives by applying systems thinking, Lean principles, and automation technologies to optimize production environments across multiple facilities.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze manufacturing operations from a systems perspective to drive transformation initiatives
• Design and optimize end-to-end value streams to improve throughput and efficiency
• Lead automation projects including design, integration, and implementation of robotics and PLC systems
• Evaluate facility layouts, equipment utilization, and automation strategies
• Translate simulation and modeling insights into actionable transformation roadmaps
• Drive Lean initiatives, including Kaizen events and continuous improvement programs
• Partner with cross-functional leaders to align process improvements with business goals
• Utilize data analytics to drive decision-making and performance improvements
• Present findings and recommendations to leadership

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering
• 5+ years of experience in process engineering, factory design, or manufacturing transformation
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Value Stream Mapping
• Experience leading process improvement or automation initiatives
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to influence and collaborate across functions
• Master's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering
• Experience with automation, robotics, or Industry 4.0 initiatives
• Exposure to ERP/MES integration
• Six Sigma Black Belt or Lean certification
• Practical experience with manufacturing quality management systems
• Practical experience with preventative maintenance programs
• Practical experience with Supply chain management processes
• Experience with digital factory modeling or simulation tools
