Project Manager- Application Development

Job Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and managing one or more small to medium-sized projects to achieve defined business objectives. This role ensures successful delivery by aligning project scope, timelines, and resources with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
• Define business and technical requirements, create roadmaps, and establish project strategies
• Identify risks and develop mitigation plans to ensure successful project outcomes
• Execute project plans by coordinating team activities, assigning tasks, and facilitating collaboration between stakeholders and technical teams
• Lead meetings with project teams, end users, and vendors to define and deliver technical solutions
• Monitor and track project progress across multiple Agile teams and business units
• Ensure timely delivery while maintaining cost, quality, and schedule targets
• Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and leadership
• Manage change requests, escalate risks, and maintain proper project documentation
• Collaborate with the Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO) to ensure governance and process alignment
• Utilize PPM and Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Clarity) to track performance, productivity, and deliverables
• Provide guidance, mentoring, and support to project teams and EPMO staff

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in Business, Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years of experience in Project Management, preferably in systems development or support environments
• Strong understanding of Agile and traditional (Waterfall) methodologies
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and resolve complex issues
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP, PMI-ACP, or equivalent certification
• Advanced degree in Project Management or related field
• Experience working in a SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) environment
• Familiarity with Enterprise Portfolio Management (EPMO) processes
