Job Overview The City of Anaheim is seeking a skilled Business Analyst / Project Manager to support the PMO in delivering technology and business initiatives across multiple departments. This role requires strong analytical, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills and is onsite four days per week.

Responsibilities Business Analysis
- Identify inefficiencies, define business requirements, and implement process improvements to enhance operational performance
- Collaborate with cross functional project teams to define business requirements, assumptions, and success criteria
- Partner with department liaisons and stakeholders to gather, clarify, and finalize project requirements
- Assist in reviewing project requests and translating business needs into documented solutions
- Develop project solution proposals and comprehensive project documentation
- Perform data analysis (primarily using Excel) to support decision making
- Present project proposals and findings to stakeholders
Project Management
- Support the PMO Manager across all phases of the project lifecycle
- Manage project plans, timelines, scope, budgets, risks, and issues
- Maintain project schedules, financial tracking, and document repositories
- Monitor and control project performance, identifying and addressing variances
- Prepare and deliver status reports and stakeholder presentations
- Facilitate meetings, prepare agendas, and ensure follow up on action items
- Coordinate tasks and deadlines with internal teams, City staff, and consultants
- Apply project governance practices and milestone delivery standards
- Perform risk management to proactively minimize project risks
Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst and/or Project Manager
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Proven experience developing business and functional requirements
- Hands on experience with project management tools and methodologies
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage a broad stakeholder community
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work with diverse teams
- Adaptability in a fast changing environment with competing priorities
- Experience working with large scale, multi platform systems environments
- Working knowledge of technology domains including infrastructure, networking, and applications
