Our Property Tax Vice President will manage a team of property tax compliance professionals at the Manager, Senior Associate, and Analyst levels who are responsible for the preparation and filing of state and local property tax returns, reviewing assessment notices, and procuring, approving and processing property tax bills.
Day-to-day responsibilities:
Collaborating with Property Tax Compliance Directors and Lead Vice Presidents to assist in establishing operational objectives and work plans to ensure the compliance functions that occur over the tax year calendar are completed on a timely basis
Overseeing, coordinating, and managing the work of Managers, Senior Associates, and Analyst to ensure the timely delivery of client service and meeting of deadlines
Assisting in preparing and filing property tax returns, gathering and reviewing assessment notices, and procuring, approving, and processing of property tax bills
Interfacing with client contacts and communicating progress of deliverables
Mentoring and supervising team members on processes, analyses, reports, and deliverables
Ensuring property tax compliance work plans are followed timely and professionally
Assisting in the development, maintenance, and in the assessment of the overall and individual goals of compliance team members
Ensuring property tax compliance team provides superb customer services to our clients
Essential traits:
Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or equivalent years of property tax related experience
Minimum 8 years of relevant property tax compliance experience, including leasing property tax compliance experience
Familiarity with property compliance software programs, with an emphasis on PowerPlan software/system experience and familiarity
Sound knowledge of property tax filing requirements and procedures of various state and local jurisdictions
Excellent project management and presentation skills, including superior verbal and written communication skills
Extensive experience in the use of Microsoft Excel
Previous experience leading a team of professionals
Excellent relationship management skills and an entrepreneurial spirit
