The Sales Development Representative (SDR) will focus on nurturing customer relationships and managing outbound prospecting to progress non-contract clients through the sales funnel.
Responsibilities:
- Primary responsibility and contact for membership applications and account setup
- Field incoming emails and phone calls from prospective and existing clients. Includes but not limited to providing cost estimates, and assisting with billing/collection queries, product information and other general questions
- Researches prospects and identifies stakeholders to generate interest and create rapport
- Effectively communicates the value proposition and ROI of Business Wire products and services
- Maintains accurate records of all sales activities, including sales calls, meetings, opportunities, emails and social outreach in Salesforce/HubSpot CRMs
- Nurtures, maintains and cultivates customer relationships and success from existing and newly created transactional/non-contract accounts
- Keeping current with PR and Investor relations industry trends
- Contacts customers through telephone, email, and social media to convey knowledge and position yourself as a resource and expert within investor relations, financial reporting, public relations, marketing, and corporate communications industries
- Develops thorough knowledge of the industry, our products and services, as well as those of our competitors
- Maximizes results by satisfying multiple buyers in an organization and addressing conflicting needs of multiple buyer influencers. Understanding the customer’s business and providing solutions to meet their needs
- Manages expectations and overcomes objections in an effective manner
- Assist as needed with Business Wire general office items, company events including media breakfasts, client visits and client lunch & learn meetings
- Works collaboratively in a group setting to achieve shared results
Requirements:
- Candidate Must speak French fluently
- Candidate must be able to work the hours of Monday to Friday 4:00 AM EST to 12:30 PM EST
- Previous experience providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop relationships with clients across an organizational hierarchy, including executive/C-level
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills
- Proficient in verbal communication and written communication
- Exceptional time management skills displaying the ability to manage multiple tasks with strict attention to detail
- Resilience, perseverance, and the ability to overcome objections a must
- Self-disciplined, organized and ambitious with the ability to consistently hit daily and monthly objectives
- Understanding and ability to communicate at a high level with professionals in investor relations, financial reporting, public relations, marketing, and corporate communications
- BA/BSc degree, or international equivalent
- 1 year of sales experience
- Proficiency with Salesforce.com and HubSpot
- Experience working with EMEA accounts
