Cloud7Works is seeking a detail-oriented Business Analyst / Tester to support a federal IT services contract. The role involves bridging the gap between government stakeholders and the development team, translating operational requirements into user stories, and ensuring capabilities meet acceptance criteria through rigorous testing.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze federal program business processes to identify opportunities for automation and system improvement
- Collaborate with the Government Product Owner to define, elaborate, and decompose backlog items into well-formed user stories with clear, testable acceptance criteria
- Conduct functional, integration, and regression testing to ensure all sprint deliverables meet acceptance criteria prior to production release
- Create, update, and maintain system documentation in accordance with applicable federal IT project management and Agile guidelines
- Provide technical support to system users via remote (email, phone, video conferencing) and in-person methods
- Conduct user training via webinars, recorded videos, and in-person sessions including support at annual program conferences and training events
- Log, track, and manage technical support requests through resolution using the support tracking system
- Respond to ad hoc data requests and assist with reporting and data visualization needs of government stakeholders
- Support periodic system user access review processes
- Identify and report security vulnerabilities and support remediation activities
- Protect sensitive program data consistent with applicable federal IT security policies and data handling requirements
- Contribute to sprint retrospectives and support continuous process improvement
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or a related field; OR a relevant professional certification such as PMI-PBA, ISTQB Certified Tester, QAI CSTE, ICAgile Certified Professional (ICP), or ICAgile Certified Expert in Agile Testing (ICE-AT)
- Demonstrated experience defining business requirements and writing user stories in an Agile environment
- Experience conducting software quality assurance and functional testing
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand and document complex business processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documentation and user-facing support
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security background clearance
- Active PMI-PBA, ISTQB, or ICAgile certification
- Experience supporting federal government IT systems, particularly in a legal or judicial context
- Familiarity with NIST SP 800-53 and federal IT security and privacy requirements
- Experience with data analytics, reporting tools, and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau)
- Prior experience supporting user training programs and technical support help desks
- Knowledge of attorney-client privilege and federal defender program ethics requirements
