IPL Schoeller is a global leader in sustainable packaging solutions, focused on environmentally responsible practices. They are seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager to expand their Bulk Reusable Transport Packaging platform into new markets, conducting market research and developing customer relationships to drive growth.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and evaluate non‑agriculture market opportunities for Bulk RTP across targeted sectors
- Prioritize opportunities in industries such as food processing, protein and poultry processing, industrial manufacturing, recycling, and automotive supply chains
- Conduct market research and industry analysis to uncover new Bulk RTP applications
- Generate, qualify, and advance a strategic pipeline of Bulk RTP opportunities
- Engage prospective customers, distributors, and industry partners to validate use cases and commercial potential
- Position Bulk RTP solutions to replace wood bins, metal containers, and single‑use packaging
- Partner with Engineering and Operations to assess product fit, specifications, and manufacturing feasibility
- Support decisions related to production location, capacity, and operational readiness for new markets
- Contribute to new product and application development efforts
- Support go‑to‑market strategies, including product positioning, customer targeting, and commercialization plans
- Monitor competitive offerings, pricing trends, and emerging technologies in reusable and plastic packaging
- Collaborate cross‑functionally to align business development initiatives with company growth objectives
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or market development within reusable transport packaging, plastics, or industrial packaging
- Strong understanding of bulk RTP applications and conversion opportunities from wood, metal, or single-use packaging
- Proven ability to identify emerging markets and build strategic pipelines
- Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and product development
- Strong market analysis, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office
- Ability to operate independently while driving strategic growth initiatives
- Must be willing to travel up to 50%
- Bachelor's degree preferred
