As a Director of Product Management on the Digital Banking team, you’ll define the vision, strategy, and delivery of the product roadmap, focusing on evolving digital banking experiences and collaborating cross-functionally to drive member engagement and business impact.
Responsibilities:
- You’ll define, guide, and oversee the vision, strategy, roadmap, and delivery for complex digital banking products and strategic transformation initiatives, ensuring alignment with BECU’s growth and member experience goals
- You’ll drive informed, data-backed decisions across the product lifecycle, balancing member needs, business priorities, and long-term platform evolution
- You’ll partner closely with technology, design, analytics, operations, and business stakeholders to identify opportunities, close gaps, and implement strategies that improve digital experiences and ways of working
- You’ll evaluate feedback, research, and insights to identify product opportunities, integrating the voice of the member into product strategies and sharing recommendations broadly across the organization
- You’ll lead improvements to product management processes, ensuring teams leverage research, industry best practices, and effective prioritization to improve delivery velocity and outcomes
- You’ll define and monitor success metrics for digital banking products and capabilities, strengthening analytics practices and creating accountability for product and team goals
- You’ll provide thought leadership on industry trends, digital banking evolution, and modern product practices to support BECU’s ongoing platform transformation
- You’ll oversee product financials, including projections, budgets, and expense reporting, while managing and maintaining relationships with key vendors and industry partners
- You’ll collaborate with Design to drive discovery, research, and the delivery of cohesive experience journeys across member and employee touchpoints
- You’ll mentor and coach individuals and teams, provide ongoing feedback, support professional growth, and foster strong collaboration and knowledge-sharing across the organization
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a technology, business, or related discipline
- 8+ years of product management or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of people leadership experience
- Financial services experience required
- Experience overseeing all phases of the product development lifecycle
- Proven experience leading cross‑functional teams
- Demonstrated ability to develop product strategies informed by the voice of the customer
- Experience managing and maintaining vendor relationships
- Experience improving product development processes, ways of working, and development velocity
- Comfort operating in environments with ambiguity, change, and evolving priorities
- Advanced degree preferred
- Digital banking expertise strongly preferred
- Proven ability to proactively identify business and customer needs, navigate obstacles, and develop solutions with minimal supervision
- Experience with open banking concepts and shaping open banking strategy across product, technology, compliance, and third‑party partnerships
