Full Stack Engineer (Remote)

MeritFirst is an innovative hiring platform that focuses on assessing candidates through real work samples. They are seeking a Full Stack Engineer to build their platform, infrastructure, and integrations, working closely with the CEO and design team in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

• Ship product end-to-end - from architecture decisions to production code
• Build the platform that companies use to assess and hire candidates, the infrastructure that processes thousands of assessments, and the integrations that connect MeritFirst to tools like Greenhouse, Ashby, and Lever
• Work directly with our CEO and design team
• Shape what we build and how we build it

Requirements:

• You write clean, maintainable code and care about the craft
• You can hold the full stack in your head - frontend through infrastructure
• You make pragmatic tradeoffs between speed and quality
• You figure things out without waiting to be unblocked
• You have strong opinions but change your mind when the evidence says to
• If you've shipped production software before, great
• If you're self-taught, bootcamp-trained, or coming from an unconventional path, we want to hear from you
