American Express is a trusted leader in the financial services sector, and they are seeking a Field Sales Manager for Accounts Payable Automation. In this role, you will modernize vendor payment processes and drive sales cycles while engaging with finance leaders to promote automation solutions that enhance cash flow and control.
Responsibilities:
- Work with account managers that own mid-market portfolio and drive the full sales cycle from targeting and qualification through close and post-sale ramp
- Engage CFOs, Controllers, and finance leaders to understand AP workflows, vendor spend, and payment mix
- Position AP automation as a lever for cash flow, control, and growth not just efficiency
- Drive adoption of card-enabled payment solutions that generate ongoing charge volume
- Partner closely with internal Sales, Payments, Product, and Marketing teams to advance opportunities
- Manage a disciplined pipeline with a focus on quality, velocity, and monetization
- Coordinate internal resources to ensure smooth solution delivery and successful implementations
Requirements:
- 4–8 years of experience in B2B sales, fintech, SaaS, or payments
- Comfortable selling to finance, accounting, or operations leaders
- Curious about how money actually moves through a business
- Confident explaining complex solutions in simple, business-first terms
- Competitive, coachable, and motivated by outcomes, not just activity
- Interested in building deep expertise in payments and financial workflows
