Description:

Position Summary:

• This position requires prior medical office or patient access front desk experience (must have knowledge of insurance verification, scheduling, authorizations, etc., and EPIC experience highly preferred).  Will be responsible for overseeing the front desk to ensure smooth patient flow throughout the day while multitasking and taking initiative. 

• This is a full-time position Monday – Friday, start time varies 7:45am to 8:00am – 4:30pm with excellent benefits starting your first day of employment!

What you will do:

• Answer phones promptly.
• Schedule patient appointments.
• Verify validity and coverage of insurance and obtain HMO/PPO authorizations, referrals if applicable.
• Register patients by obtaining information and interpret information in terms of the patient's needs.
• Confirms demographics with patient any changes in address, phone number, or insurance information.
• Enters all changes in the IDX System and documents any information regarding the account or patient information on the comment screen/sticky notes.

What you will need:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience in medical office setting and knowledge of CPT and ICD9 codes and health care insurance required. Good interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients, staff and visitors are necessary.
• Must possess the ability to comply with Trinity Health policies and procedures.  Must possess a personal presence that is characterized by a sense of honesty, integrity, and caring with the ability to inspire and motivate others to promote the philosophy, mission, vision, goals, and values of Trinity Health.

Working Conditions:

• Requires long periods of sitting at the front desk answering phones and checking in patients.
