Daktronics is a company that designs and manufactures digital LED display technology and audio systems. They are seeking a Marketing Strategist for their Transportation Business Segment to develop and execute marketing initiatives that support pipeline growth and drive orders.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute marketing strategies aligned to Transportation segment business goals
- Plan and manage integrated marketing campaigns, including messaging, targeting, channels, and timing
- Identify gaps in sales enablement and develop tools aligned to the customer buying journey
- Support go-to-market strategies for new products, solutions, and initiatives
- Prioritize marketing initiatives based on business impact, timing, and available resources
- Build alignment across stakeholders on key marketing initiatives
- Support and execute digital marketing initiatives, including web, email, social, and paid media
- Identify and implement effective ways to reach and engage target audiences
- Develop an understanding of customer segments, personas, and decision-making processes
- Conduct and apply customer and market research to improve marketing effectiveness
- Support programs that improve lead generation, engagement, and conversion
- Develop a strong understanding of the Transportation market, including customers, competitors, and trends
- Gather and share market intelligence to inform marketing and sales strategies
- Support refinement of segment positioning and messaging based on insights
- Lead and manage marketing initiatives from concept through execution
- Track and manage marketing budgets aligned to segment priorities
- Use marketing tools (project management, CRM, DAM) to plan, execute, and track work
- Ensure alignment with Daktronics brand standards and marketing processes
- Continuously learn and apply evolving marketing and industry best practices
- Track and report on campaign performance and key marketing metrics
- Align marketing efforts to sales priorities and contribute to pipeline visibility
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve marketing effectiveness
- Support annual and quarterly planning and budgeting processes
- Partner with Market Managers on campaign strategy, execution, and performance evaluation
- Collaborate with Convention Coordinators to align trade shows and events with broader marketing strategy
- Work with Marketing Supervisor to coordinate timelines, resources, and budgets
- Partner with Product Management to support product launches and market introduction strategies
- Collaborate with Creative teams to develop effective, on-brand marketing materials and best practices
- Align closely with Sales teams to support opportunities and improve marketing effectiveness
Requirements:
- Minimum of three (3) years of relevant business experience in marketing or sales
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Mass Communication, Journalism, or related field
- Experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Fluent in English, written and verbal
- The selected individual must be able to travel by air and ground and comply with the Daktronics Driver Eligibility Policy to begin and maintain employment. This requirement will be verified through a motor vehicle record (MVR) check conducted in accordance with applicable federal, state, provincial, and local laws. Ability to travel approximately 10% (air and ground) which may include weekends
- Ability to obtain and maintain appropriate visas for travel between Canada and the United States. Must meet Canadian admissibility requirements
