Penn Foster Group is transforming online learning to help learners achieve long-term success. They are seeking an experienced Email/SMS Marketing Strategist to improve the performance of lifecycle marketing programs through campaign execution, testing, and optimization efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Execute end-to-end email and SMS campaigns, including segmentation, setup, QA, and deployment in Oracle Responsys
- Contribute to and help execute a structured A/B testing roadmap (subject lines, messaging, timing, segmentation, personalization, etc.)
- Analyze campaign and lifecycle performance to identify opportunities for improved engagement and conversion
- Proactively recommend optimizations based on data, trends, and testing results
- Partner with the Senior Marketing Manager and cross-functional teams to refine campaign strategy and messaging
- Translate campaign performance into clear insights and actionable next steps
- Ensure high-quality execution through rigorous QA and testing across devices and platforms
- Support ongoing optimization of lifecycle journeys, segmentation, and personalization efforts
- Track and report on key performance metrics, highlighting insights and opportunities
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in email, CRM, or lifecycle marketing
- Hands-on experience with enterprise ESPs (Oracle Responsys preferred; Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Marketo, HubSpot, Adobe Campaign, etc.)
- Experience executing A/B tests and a strong interest in developing testing strategies and hypotheses
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable insights
- Experience with audience segmentation and personalization
- Strong attention to detail, especially in QA and campaign setup
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive mindset—you don't just execute tasks, you look for ways to improve them
