Forbes is an iconic global media brand that has symbolized success for over a century. They are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Manager to oversee the operational execution of Forbes Accolades list production, ensuring projects stay on schedule and deliverables are completed on time. The role involves managing cross-functional teams, developing project plans, and coordinating workflows to support research-driven marketing programs.
Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive project plans and Gantt charts for all Forbes Intelligence programs
- Clearly define roles, responsibilities, and swim lanes across Research, Editorial, Sales, Design, Marketing, and external partners
- Establish timelines, milestones, and deliverable schedules
- Monitor progress and proactively identify risks or bottlenecks
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope
- Partner with Editorial project management counterparts to ensure clear alignment between list production workflows and editorial content development, avoiding duplication and ensuring seamless handoffs
- Manage the full lifecycle of research-driven marketing programs, partnering with editorial and coordinating across sales and marketing including survey development, fielding, analysis, content production, and launch
- Oversee structured list-generation workflows including data ingestion, validation, cleansing, scoring, QA review cycles, and finalization
- Coordinate the execution of list development and audience targeting workflows to ensure survey timelines are met
- Track dependencies across teams and escalate issues as needed
- Maintain detailed documentation of data sources, methodology, audit trails, and version control throughout each list cycle
- Serve as the primary operational liaison across internal teams
- Lead regular status meetings and distribute clear action-item summaries
- Align internal stakeholders prior to key milestones and deliverables
- Support process improvements and standardization efforts to enhance team efficiency
- Prepare timeline documentation and progress updates for internal and client-facing use
- Support kickoff meetings and milestone reviews
- Ensure deliverables meet agreed-upon scope and quality standards
Requirements:
- 3+ years of project management experience, preferably within media, publishing, research, consulting, or marketing environments
- Proven experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects with overlapping deadlines
- Strong proficiency in project management platforms (e.g., Asana, Monday.com)
- Experience creating and maintaining Gantt charts and workflow documentation
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional stakeholders, build consensus, and drive execution across complex, multi-phase programs
- Proactively identify risks and blockers, working with stakeholders to resolve issues and keep projects on track including communication proficiency with stakeholders, building consensus and driving execution, problem solving, etc
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience required
- Experience working with research teams, survey platforms, or data-driven content programs
- Familiarity with media production workflows and content development
- PMP certification or formal project management training
