About this roleDescription
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join an organization in Savannah, Georgia, on a Long-term Contract assignment. In this role, you will connect business units, IT leaders, and an external vendor to translate operational needs into well-defined solutions that support successful project delivery. This position is ideal for someone who can guide analysis efforts from early discovery through testing, training, and launch readiness while keeping stakeholders aligned throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
Analyze existing workflows and design future-state process models that help improve business operations and system performance.
Lead discussions with department leaders, technology teams, and vendor representatives to identify, refine, and document business and functional needs.
Produce clear project artifacts such as requirements documents, functional details, and traceability records to maintain alignment from planning through delivery.
Work closely with the external vendor to answer questions, coordinate interdependencies, and address issues that may affect progress or quality.
Develop testing documentation, support execution activities, and coordinate user acceptance efforts to confirm that solutions meet agreed business objectives.
Record defects, monitor resolution progress, and help secure final approval once issues have been addressed satisfactorily.
Prepare training resources, job aids, and user support materials, and assist with end-user education sessions when needed.
Monitor project timelines, open risks, outstanding issues, and key action items to help keep deliverables on schedule.
Facilitate meetings, workshops, and status communications that keep internal stakeholders and vendor teams informed and engaged.
Requirements
At least 5 years of experience in a Business Analyst or comparable role supporting system, application, or technology-focused projects.
Strong capability in process analysis, gap identification, requirements gathering, and structured documentation.
Practical experience creating requirements traceability documents, test plans, and supporting user acceptance testing activities.
Demonstrated success collaborating with third-party vendors as well as internal IT and business stakeholders.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to lead conversations with senior leadership and technical teams.
Strong organizational and prioritization abilities in environments with multiple concurrent tasks and shifting deadlines.
Experience with enterprise software implementations or vendor-supported solutions is preferred.
Familiarity with SQL, project coordination practices, and Agile or hybrid delivery approaches is advantageous.
