They are seeking an Associate Director for the IT PMO to provide strategic and operational leadership for enterprise IT delivery, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and overseeing complex IT programs and portfolios.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic direction and decision support to IT leaders, project managers, and business partners
- Champion a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement within the IT PMO and embed accountability and transparency across the delivery lifecycle
- Own governance and oversight of large, complex, multi-year IT programs and portfolios
- Lead project intake and capacity planning to align investments with strategy
- Monitor project progress, resource utilization, and budgetary performance, identifying trends, risks, and systemic issues
- Drive executive-level decision-making and tradeoff resolution across competing priorities
- Ensure initiatives are delivered with predictable outcomes that meet quality, compliance, and regulatory expectations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across departments and regions
- Serve as a trusted advisor to IT and business executives, providing program-level insights and recommendations
- Facilitate communication and alignment through steering committees, governance forums, and executive reviews
- Lead, mentor, and develop project and program management talent
- Oversee resource allocation and capacity planning to optimize internal teams and external partners
- Establish and hold team members accountable to performance expectations
- Define and enforce PMO standards, methodologies, and delivery frameworks
- Lead program, projects and delivery health assessments to identify improvement opportunities
- Sponsor and execute PMO transformation initiatives, including tools, metrics, and governance enhancements
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of progressive experience in IT project, program, or portfolio management (or equivalent education and experience)
- 5+ years in senior or PMO leadership roles preferred
- Fluently read, write, and verbally communicate in English

- Project Management Professional (PMP), Program Management Professional (PgMP), or equivalent advanced certification
- Experience in healthcare, medical devices, biotech, or related industries is a plus
