Solutions Engineer, Partnerships

FirstPrinciples is a non-profit research organization focused on building AI infrastructure for discovery in fundamental science. The Solutions Engineer, Partnerships role is designed to identify and operationalize strategic partnerships across AI labs and research institutions, ensuring that these partnerships are effectively integrated and impactful.

Responsibilities:

• Identify, develop, and close strategic partnerships across AI labs, infrastructure providers, and research organizations
• Lead partnership conversations end-to-end, from initial outreach through negotiation and execution
• Own the technical structuring of partnerships, defining what is exchanged (data, compute, tooling) and how it flows between systems
• Work closely with engineering and research teams to translate internal needs into clear external partnership requirements
• Negotiate integration details at a granular level (e.g., APIs, data schemas, infrastructure constraints, usage terms)
• Ensure partnerships are operationalized effectively, moving from agreement to real, working integrations
• Build long-term relationships with partners and continuously identify opportunities to deepen collaboration
