EDDY Pump Corporation designs and manufactures high-performance equipment for tough industrial applications. They are seeking a driven Business Development Manager to grow revenue across multiple product lines and service offerings, focusing on consultative sales and technical solution selling.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new opportunities across pumps, dredging systems, valves, seals, separation equipment, and field services
- Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, qualification, proposal development, negotiation, and closing
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline across multiple industries and territories
- Drive cross-selling across EDDY Pump and affiliated brands
- Understand customer applications (slurry composition, flow rates, head, abrasiveness, etc.)
- Recommend and size equipment and system solutions
- Work with engineering teams to develop customized proposals and system designs
- Present technical solutions to clients and stakeholders
- Develop long-term relationships with contractors, municipalities, and industrial clients
- Identify opportunities for upgrades, replacements, rentals, and service contracts
- Serve as a trusted advisor for customers’ pumping and dredging needs
- Prepare detailed quotes and proposals for equipment and services
- Coordinate internally on pricing, lead times, and technical specifications
- Negotiate contracts and close deals
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in industrial equipment or technical sales
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, pumps, or fluid handling equipment
- Proven ability to sell capital equipment and/or field services
- Experience managing long sales cycles and closing high-value deals
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Slurry pumps, dredging systems, or mining/wastewater equipment
- Mechanical seals, valves, or rotating equipment
- Separation technologies (screens, centrifuges, etc.)
- Experience working with EPC firms, contractors, or heavy industry clients
