Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with specialized knowledge in the Property and Casualty (P&C) insurance domain, particularly in claims management. The successful candidate will act as a liaison among stakeholders to understand the structure, policies, and operations of the organization and to recommend solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals.
The Role
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and evaluate complex business processes related to P&C claims and suggest improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Gather, document, and analyze business needs and requirements through interviews, workshops, and/or existing systems documentation or procedures.
- Work closely with claims adjusters, underwriting, actuarial, and IT teams to define and refine system specifications.
- Assist in the design and implementation of new or revised claims management systems to meet business objectives.
- Develop detailed business cases, process documentation, and workflow analysis.
- Communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the adoption of new process changes and technologies.
- Support the claims department by creating and maintaining reports for tracking claims statuses, performance metrics, and KPIs.
- Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) for new systems or system enhancements, ensuring that they meet business requirements.
- Provide training and support to claims department staff on new processes, tools, and technologies.
- Stay current with the latest trends and technologies in P&C insurance claims and propose innovative solutions to business challenges.
Requirements:
- Bachelor s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst and at least 3+ years of experience within the P&C insurance domain, with a strong focus on claims handling and processes.
- In-depth knowledge of claims management lifecycle, including registration, adjudication, and settlement.
- Experience with P&C insurance claims systems and platforms.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Proven ability to manage projects, meet deadlines, and work within a budget.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management and staff.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Knowledge of SQL and experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
