The Commercial Business Development Manager will be responsible for product management and business development, working closely with the sales team to develop strategies and support market initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Responsibility for defined product lines in the Molecular Diagnostics division in Germany
- Analysis of market trends, customer requirements and the competitive landscape
- Development of product and business strategies across the entire product lifecycle
- Development of value propositions, product positioning and use cases
- Gathering information on competitors and positioning
- Up-to-date knowledge transfer regarding remuneration
- Management and active preparation of conference participation, including budgeting
- Compilation of market needs and product requirements
- Communication of market trends and events
- Close collaboration with the Applications Team regarding studies and evaluations
- Adaptation and optimisation of contracts
- Pricing
- Optimisation of SFDC. Collaboration with the SFDC team
- Product launch activities
- Close operational collaboration with the Sales Manager and the sales team
- Active support for the field sales team with customer appointments, projects and tenders
- Identification and development of new market and business opportunities
- Support with pricing, portfolio and quotation strategies
- Close coordination with product management, marketing and R&D in Italy and Germany
- Translation of market requirements into clear product and development initiatives
- Collaboration on international launches; Contributing to international launch and portfolio projects
- Creating and maintaining product documentation, presentations and training materials
- Delivering product training (internal and external)
- Representing ELITech products at trade fairs, conferences and customer events
Requirements:
- A degree in natural sciences, life sciences, medical technology, biotechnology or a related field
- Several years' experience in product management, business development or technical sales within the IVD / Molecular Diagnostics sector
- A good understanding of laboratory processes, clinical applications and regulatory frameworks (e.g. IVDR)
- Strong market and customer focus, as well as strategic thinking
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Independent, structured and entrepreneurial approach to work
- Willingness to travel in collaboration with the sales team (field work, customer visits, internal meetings)
- Valid driving license
- Excellent command of German and English; Italian would be an advantage
